Same Sound, Different Spelling
The most impactful work a student can do at home is continue to read and write (by hand). Experienced readers can guide students to correct pronunciation or spelling. When reading books or writing is just too much for the day, students can try some of the following games to target practice on specific sounds/spellings/skills. Most games are best played with a helpful and competent (and patient) partner nearby. Just remember, mistakes are a natural part of learning - but to get the benefit of many games, students need to be held accountable to read carefully and accurately (not just click, guess, try again).
